A learning centre in Worcester is aiming to give jobseekers a boost by inviting them to enrol onto a range of free educational courses

The Fairfield Centre in Carnforth Drive, which is run by Worcestershire County Council's Libraries and Learning Team, is currently running courses covering a variety of skills for adults. They can be accessed by people just looking for a new skill or hobby, or by those seeking an additional qualification to help them in the search for work.

The current range of courses run until the end of March, and include among a host of others; Art Therapy, Business Admin Level 2, Childcare, DIY and Literacy. The majority of courses are free and are fully accredited. Budding learners can register today to join any of the courses starting in April .

Cllr John Campion, Worcestershire County Council's Cabinet Member for Localism and Communities, said: "The Fairfield Centre provides so many opportunities for people in the area to learn a new skill, which could play a significant role in helping boost their employment opportunities. There are also courses available for those just looking for a new skill or hobby and so I would urge people to have a look at what's on offer."
