Something to do this Half Term
Are you looking to get out and about in the
Worcestershire countryside over the half term holidays?
Worcestershire County Council's Countryside
Service have a number of way marked circular walks across the
County with the latest being a new six ¾ mile circular walk around
the varied landscape of Hanbury, starting from Gateway Park, ¾ mile
east of Droitwich.
The fully way marked route takes in canal side
walking and farmland as well as the wood pasture of Piper's Hill
Common and the historic parkland of Hanbury Hall.
John Campion, Cabinet Member for
Localism and Communities said "The Hanbury Circular Walk
is part of the Droitwich Canal Restoration Project and will an
enjoyable walk along the canal and around some of the beautiful
local countryside for local people and visitors alike"
A free leaflet accompanies the walk and is
available from Droitwich Tourism Information Centre, Jinney Ring
Craft Centre and the Countryside Centre, Worcester.
