Archaeology

Ecology
Worcestershire County Council Ecology Services are provided by
the Environmental Policy Team, our ecologists provide
specialist in-house advice, survey and information on flora
and fauna within the county to all WCC directorates

Landscape Character Assessment
Landscape Character Assessment (LCA) is a tool
for identifying the patterns and individual combinations of
features – such as hedgerows, field shapes, woodland, land use,
patterns of settlements and dwellings – that make each type of
landscape distinct and often special to those who live and work in
it.

Energy from Waste Facility
The application made to Worcestershire County Council for an
energy-from-waste facility at Hartlebury
Trading Estate will now be decided by the Secretary of State, the
authority was informed on Tuesday, May 10th 2011.

Minerals and Waste Policy
The County Council is responsible for preparing Minerals and
Waste planning policy for Worcestershire.

Planning Applications
The County Council Development Control Team are responsible for
processing Planning Applications and Lawful Development
Certificates.

The County Council's Strategic Planning Service is based at County
Hall in Worcester
