Population

The R&I Unit holds information on the population of
Worcestershire. In addition to the census material released every
10 years, ONS release annual mid-year estimates for Worcestershire
and the six districts therein. These mid-year estimates are split
here into gender and 5 year age groups.
Population
statistics for Worcestershire and each of the districts are
available here, as well as population figures for smaller areas,
such as the wards
and the main
towns within Worcestershire.

Components
of Change (population change split by that due to natural
change, and that due to migration) is also available.
A Demographic Report
giving details of the most recent (2005-10) population and
migration details for Worcestershire and the districts,
including current population, age structure, ethnicity, movements
in and out of the county, and projected population and household
figures, is available here
The R&I Unit also produce population projections for
Worcestershire and the 6 districts. These projections are based on
information obtained from ONS on births and deaths, as well as
migration statistics. The Unit uses Popgroup to obtain projections
up to the year 2026.
