The Environment Agency still has a number of Flood Warnings in place covering areas within West Mercia, together with a number of flood alerts indicating a chance of localised flooding.

Although it is thought that water levels may have peaked there is still localised flooding present which could affect normal driving routes across the region. The Safer Roads Partnership is urging drivers to take extra care and to think about the route they are taking.

County Hall to the South Pole five times - Gritting season ends

Worcestershire County Council's gritting teams have signed off for another season after clocking up around 49,500 miles –the equivalent of travelling from County Hall, Worcester, to the South Pole five times.

Biggest road improvement scheme of its kind in Worcestershire begins

The County Council's multi-million pound surface dressing programme, which will see 1.78million square metres of road surface improved across Worcestershire over the next four months, has begun.

Rural communities set to benefit from funding boost

Worcestershire County Council is inviting people to apply for a slice of a newly boosted cash fund designed to support rural areas.

Have your say on Bewdley plans until March 31

Bewdley residents and businesses still have the chance to find out more and share their views on what things they'd like to see included in a £250,000 investment scheme to improve the area - but they need to be quick and get in touch by March 31.

Quiz council bosses online live

Worcestershire County Council is inviting residents and businesses to get online and quiz its bosses in the first ever online question time via webcast.
