Information on Continuing Professional Development (CPD)
Welcome to the 2012-2013 Continuing Professional Development
programme for the Children's Workforce in Schools. Included in this
document is an outline of the new School Improvement Service Level
Agreement (SLA), soon to be received in schools, which explains how
schools can access support from the Local Authority.
As you will see from this document, we have changed the emphasis
of our planned support towards individual schools, clusters and
networks. You will also see a growing number of 'partnerships'
emerging, and we will continue to develop this area of work over
the coming months.
We have published the full programme of centrally delivered
courses on Edulink (External webs. You can access this
information via the Calendar or by using the browser which sorts
courses into curriculum area. Course reminders will also be sent
out regularly, so keep an eye out for them by email!
We would be pleased to have feedback on the
2011/2012 programme and to discuss how we can develop it during the
year to continue to support you in meeting the professional
learning and development needs of your school and staff.
