Worcestershire Scientific Services offers an wide range of UKAS (ISO 17025) accredited testing on food and consumer goods. Our accreditation schedule can be found on the UKAS website under testing laboratory number 0627. The laboratory is also home to the Asbestos Control Team. We are also able to offer advice and consultancy for food, consumer goods and asbestos related issues.

Consultancy and Scientific Advice

The Scientific Services laboratories in Worcester are managed by Public Analyst & Scientific Advisor Paul Hancock.  Years of investment in equipment, and a focus on developing the laboratory as a centre of excellence, mean the labs now serve local government and private client across the UK.

We owe our success to our expert staff, who come from a range of disciplines - biology, geography, food science, occupational hygiene, chemistry and microbiology.   Their skill, plus our quality systems development, auditing skills, and environmental management make Worcestershire County Council Scientific Services a one-stop shop for all scientific needs.
