Bishops Wood Centre
Bishops
Wood Centre works with schools, teachers and environmental
educators in Worcestershire and beyond. The centre focuses on
learning for sustainability, outdoor environmental learning,
Forest School and helping schools to develop their own grounds
as exciting places for learning. There is a comprehensive suite of
hands on school programmes as well as a successful vocational
based learning programme for students aged 14 to 19. The centre
runs NOCN accredited training courses for Forest School leaders and
an exciting programme of short courses.
The centre also offers conference facilities,
room hire, team building/activity days, leisure courses and
workshops in traditional crafts and woodland skills.
Museums
Worcestershire
The joint Worcestershire County Council and
Worcester City Council Museums
Service provides activities for schools and other organisations
across the key stages through our sites at Worcester City Art
Gallery & Museum, The Commandery and Worcestershire County
Museum at Hartlebury. We also offer our outreach service, 'Museum
on the Move', and a collection of historic objects available for
loan.

Outdoor and Environmental Learning
Our outdoor and environmental learning service
offer a variety of outdoor education activities through three
different sites, with centres at Malvern Hills, Llanrug and Upton
Warren. The sites offer residential and non-residential
curriculum-based learning courses for students and training for
visit leaders. Programmes of activities, including Duke of
Edinburgh, will be tailored to meet group and individual
requirements using the medium of outdoor adventurous activities as
a vehicle to learning. Personal skills training, team building and
holiday activities are also available. Details are included in the
service brochure.
