David Bellamy Award - The David Bellamy Conservation Award Scheme is one of the longest running green tourism awards in the UK. David Bellamy Conservation Awards are made each year to parks which can demonstrate policies showing active concern for the environment - from the protection of plant and animal habitats to the efficient use of energy and recycling.  Three levels of excellence can be achieved: Gold, Silver and Bronze.

Green Tourism Business Scheme

The Green Tourism Business Scheme (GTBS) is the national sustainable tourism certification scheme for the UK. Originally developed in partnership with VisitScotland, it is now the only certification scheme validated by VisitBritain, through the International Centre for Responsible Tourism (ICRT). "GTBS provides excellent value for money to a wide range of tourism firms with first class environmental advice and auditing. Satisfaction rates of certified firms are very high and drop out rates low, both for the smallest of tourism firms and increasingly at corporate level."

For more information about GTBS visit http://www.green-business.co.uk/ or telephone 01738 632162.
