Registration Fees from 1st April 2012

This page provides details of statutory fees and information about other fees charged by the registration service, including charges for birth, marriage and death certificates and for ceremonies such as wedding, civil partnership, renewal of vows and private citizenship. Please select fee type:

Fees for birth, marriage and death certificates

The fees for certificates issued by a registrar at a local registration office are:

• at the time of registration - £4.00 each

Please note that one short birth certificate is issued at the time of registration free of charge. This does not show the parents details and has limited use.

Certificates are available from the Registrar at the above fee only at the time of registration, subsequent certificates from the Registrars register will incur a fee of £7.00. Once a register is filled it is passed to the Superintendent Registrar and certificates are no longer available from the Registrar.

Fees for marriages and civil partnerships

The giving of a Notice of Marriage or Civil Partnership fee is  £35.00 per person. All fees include one certificate and are inclusive of VAT.

A non refundable deposit is payable at the time of booking the registrar for the ceremony, this is currently £40.

We are also now able to take bookings for ceremonies for between 12 and 24 months in advance; there is a non refundable booking fee of £40 which will be taken at the time of booking, this is not part of the attendance fee for the registrar.

Paying for copy certificates

You can obtain a certified copy of birth, death or marriage that took place in the county of Worcestershire district. (fee and service option charge):

Discretionary Services - Renewal of Vows, Baby Naming and Commitment Ceremonies Fees From:

• 1st April 2012 Discretionary Services
• 1st April 2013 Discretionary Services
• 1st April 2014 Discretionary Services

Single Citizenship Ceremony Fees From:

• 1st April 2012 Single Citizenship - £75.00
• 1st April 2013 Single Citizenship - £78.00
