Shared CareShared care is where the care is shared, usually between a persons parents/long term carer and the shared lives carer. This is normally :-
Extended family support offered to people living independently in their own home, or, in accommodation provided by and Shared Lives Carer
Short breaksWhere a person stays with a shared lives carer for a holiday; weekend or overnight day stay. This may be a planned arrangement or during an emergency.
Independent living ServicesThis service is aimed at those people that need and want to move towards living independently. No personal care is provided. The person would usually live in the same household as their landlord, who would provide them with low-level housing related support for no more than 5 hours per week. The service supports people to develop new and maintain existing skills, which will hopefully enhance their confidence, to live more independently.
