Equipment

There are many pieces of equipment useful to those with varying degrees of sight loss.  Some of these can be viewed and demonstrated by appointment at the Worcestershire Association for the Blind (Bradbury Centre), or when a specialist worker from the Sensory Impairment Team visits.  These include talking or tactile watches and clocks, liquid level indicators (to tell when sufficient liquid has been poured into a cup or glass), writing frames, pension book guide and magnifiers.

A catalogue of products can be obtained from the Royal National Institute for the Blind by ringing their customer service line on

0845 7023153

Many other useful items may be purchased in high street stores.
