Launch of the Biodiversity Action Plan for Worcestershire and Annual Biodiversity Partnership meeting -

On Monday 14th July the Worcestershire Biodiversity Partnership launched its Biodiversity Action Plan for Worcestershire 2008 to 2018, kindly hosted by Bromsgrove District Council in the Spadesbourne Suite. The launch event took place in the morning, and was followed after lunch by the Worcestershire Biodiversity Partnership Annual Meeting.

It's your duty...   The Natural Environment and Rural Communities Act (2006) places a duty on public bodies to conserve biodiversity. This seminar, led by Mike Oxford, aimed to:

  1. provide information on the implications of the NERC Act Biodiversity Duty
  2. explore ways of assessing and benchmarking implementation of the Biodiversity Duty.

10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Court Room, Guildhall, Worcester
