Biodiversity in Worcestershire

Biodiversity is a general term which summarises the variety of plants and animals found on Earth, and the place in which they live.

Even though Worcestershire has a rich variety of plants and animals, many of which are national rarities, wildlife is always under threat from changing farming practices, development pressures and natural changes.

A wide variety of organisations have agreed to work together to try to reverse any decline in Worcestershire’s wildlife by forming the Worcestershire Biodiversity Partnership of which Worcestershire County Council is a member.

Find out more about Biodiversity in Worcestershire by visiting the Worcestershire Biodiversity Partnership website.
