Avon Valley Circular Walks

5 miles / 8 km and 3.5 miles / 5.7 km

Riverside walks never fail to be interesting, as rivers are havens for wildlife of all sorts and anything could drift past. Colourful narrowboats, shy waterbirds, the splash of a fish, eerie reeds as they sway in the breeze, if you stay alert all sorts of sights and sounds will delight you. Habberley Valley Circular Walk

2.5 miles / 4 km

This walk is a real favourite for many, and it's not hard to see why. Long enough to blow away the cobwebs and give a healthy glow to your cheeks, yet short enough to be walked in a couple of hours. Within view of Kidderminster, yet a world away, it takes you through a peaceful variety of heath, woodland, pasture, and farm tracks, passing stunning views, a bubbling brook and ancient rock houses along your way.  More…

Incorporating a tranquil part of the River Severn, attractive views, historical features and ample wildlife, this route is a real treat. Passing through the Georgian riverside town of Bewdley and the surrounding countryside, mobility vehicle (RADAR key required) and pushchair accessible gates allow an enjoyable route for all.  More...

Travel back in time from the very heart of bustling Bromsgrove to the hunting forests of the Middle Ages. The countryside around here gives a rich and vibrant picture of Royal Hunting Forests, the rise of Chartist settlements, priories, visiting kings and much more. Stourport Circular Walk

6.5 miles / 10.5 km

This popular walk passes through the historic town of Stourport on Severn, with its Georgian buildings and waterways together with all the attractions of a seaside resort. The route takes you along canal towpaths, over a golf course, across a nature reserve and back to Stourport, along a river bank, all with many points of interest along the way.  More…
