About the Database facility

A Clubs and Societies database was developed in 2003 which included information about clubs and organisations in and around Worcestershire. In 2007 we re-designed the database to make it easier to use and to give more ownership to the representatives of the clubs. This was to ensure information was correct and to allow promotion of events, news and information.

The database currently holds in the region of 2000 clubs with new ones being added on a daily basis.

The database aims to:

• Give local and national information to residents and visitors to Worcestershire
• Give ownership to representatives of clubs so that they can manage and update their own information

Clubs, societies, charities, organisations, voluntary and not-for-profit services can be included in the database. Commercial businesses or profit-making organisations cannot be listed in the database.
