Safeguarding Quality Assurance - Alan FergusonThe main purpose of this service is to “secure high standards of safeguarding practice across Worcestershire and to ‘quality assure’ all Care Plans for Looked After Children.” In practical terms this means managing the following staff: Child Protection Co-ordinators, Senior Adviser (Safeguarding in Education), Board Manager (Safeguarding Children Board) and Independent Reviewing Officers (IROs). Quality & Performance - Lisa PeatyThis service covers three broad areas: business and systems development, performance development and data and information management. In combination, these will ensure that we will have the required infrastructure to deliver effective services to children, young people and families, providing us with the data and information we need to plan and deliver effectively, and the systems and processes to support our activity. |
Commissioning and Contracting - Asa Johnsson HumphriesThe main purpose of the new service is to maximise the impact of resources to improve outcomes for children and young people through effective commissioning and procurement of services. Commissioning is the process of identifying needs and ensuring that the most appropriate services are developed and provided to meet those needs, making best use of the resources available. |
Workforce and Practice Development - Debbie KeyThe service will is responsible for developing an integrated workforce strategy to support the need for integrated working and common competencies across professions and will link with the Regional Children's Workforce Development Council. Training and Development arrangements will be commissioned and provided to support high levels of expertise and continuing professional development.
