The Children and Young People’s Plan is a single plan for all services delivered to children, young people and their families. It will also be the ‘self assessment’ document for Worcestershire’s JAR. The County Council has a statutory duty to co-ordinate the publication of the plan and to review its progress in partnership with other agencies that work with children.
Worcestershire’s first Children and Young People’s Plan was published in November 2006.

| The plan aims to improve life for children, young people and families in Worcestershire and has 12 priorities. The Council is co-ordinating the writing of a refreshed plan to cover the period 2008-2011. Consultation has taken place to make sure that we are still working on things that matter the most to children, young people and their families and a Needs Analysis document is also currently being written. This uses data and information to establish what life is like for children and young people living in Worcestershire. It will set out improvements which have been made over the past few years and enables us to establish what should be included in the new plan. | ![]() |
The new Plan has now been launched and is available to download on this website:
