County Hall Bookings - Accommodation and Charges

County Hall offers a number of rooms for hire for meetings or functions.  The most prestigious is the Council Chamber, a fine room seating up to 178 people.  

County Hall is an impressive and interesting building, set in sweeping grounds with a woodland backdrop.

If required, the Council can arrange the catering for meetings or functions and can also arrange for a license for the sale of alcoholic drinks and entertainment at a small cost

As well as having extensive car parks, County Hall is close to motorway links and the city centre yet, for more social occasions, enjoys a rural location with attractive landscaped grounds and lake features, ideal for photographs.

Monday to Friday assumes that the use of the meeting will be of a business nature or lecture.  Social function use will need to be reviewed as may attract an additional charge, plus caretaking charges.

Caretaker attendance Monday to Friday:  
If using the rooms after 6.30pm, Monday to Friday, an additional charge will be made if caretaker assistance is required as follows:
- £45.00 for up to 2 hours
- £15.00 each additional hour thereafter

Caretaker attendance for evening, Saturday and Sunday:
Use of the rooms on an evening, Saturday or Sunday will attract mandatory caretaker attendance.  The costs are as follows:
- £45.00 for up to 2 hours
- £15.00 each additional hour thereafter
- £60.00 for up to 2 hours (Sunday only)
- £20.00 each additional hour thereafter (Sunday only)

Cleaning:
For events taking place out of normal working hours, a nominal fee will be chargeable to cover cleaning, heating, lighting and security as follows:
- £15.00 (Monday to Friday)
- £30.00 (Saturday and Sunday)

Equipment Hire:
Many rooms already have fixed presentation facilities.  Please check when booking as any items not available will have to be sourced and charged accordingly.

Refreshments:
Refreshments are available on request (lunch etc).  Please contact Facilities on 01905 766362 for further information on menu’s and pricing.  

Deposits:
All evenings (Monday to Friday), Saturday and Sunday social functions are subject to a 50% deposit, which is payable 10 days in advance of the booking and is non refundable.
