Estates group

The Group provides the following professional services to the County Council and other clients.

Valuation and Estates Management

Property purchases and sales, leases and rent reviews, compensation negotiations, easements and wayleaves, valuations for the Asset register, insurance and business rates purposes.

Searches for new premises for County uses. Management of all let property including Caretakers Housing.

The County Farms Estate

Management of the County’s 145 farms and smallholdings, which include 4,612 acres and are held to provide opportunities for suitably qualified people to begin farming. This includes assistance with diversification, seeking development opportunities and rationalisation of the Estate to make it cost effective.

Advice to the Council on rural matters generally.
