Worcestershire Climate Change Pledge
Action: Raise awareness of climate change issues amongst our staff and in our activities involving the general public, for example through our newsletters, website and at events.
| Help people see the bigger picture. Awareness raising might cover the overall topic of climate change, or focus on more specific issues e.g. energy efficiency, waste or transport . In covering these themes, show the links to climate change. |
| Make communications effective. Don't create fear without agency - this can lead to apathy. Help people focus on what they CAN do and link action to people's aspirations. Guidance on Climate Change Communications is available from Futerra Sustainability Consultancy |
