As part of its regular commitment to strengthen partnership working through the Compact, Worcestershire Partnership held its third conference for VCS organisations on 29th November at the Perdiswell Young People's Leisure Club.

The Council's VCS Unit Co-ordinator Jenny Murray talked about a suggested model for future funding of the VCS called Shopping, Investing and Giving. She explained that the model had been developed as a result of feedback from the VCS, and with the support of Councillors, VCS advisors and Council officers. A report will be considered by Cabinet on 8th March 2007. She asked delegaes to identify the strenghts, weaknesses, opportunities and threats they may feel as a result of the Council taking on board Shopping Investing and Giving. This information has been used to help shape the report which will be considered by Cabinet.
