Worcestershire County Council and its partners will be part of the Commission for Social Care Inspection (CSCI) national programme of inspections of Independence Wellbeing and Choice for 2007-2009
The objective of the inspection is to evaluate Worcestershire’s performance in ensuring social care outcomes for local people. The purpose is to assist councils in improving services and to contribute in the most effective way to their performance assessment.
1) People Are Safeguarded From Abuse
2) People Receive Personalised Services
The safeguarding theme will be across adult services generally and the personalised services theme will be focusing on people with a learning disability
The on-site inspection is scheduled to take place on 8th – 15th January 2009 and the results will be published in March 2009.
The inspection is an extension of the County Council's Annual Performance Assessment (APA), which is carried out every year. However, it differs in that it is an in depth view of specific parts of our services.
The inspection team will consist of 3 inspectors. A Lead Inspector, a Support Inspector and an Expert by Experience (Service User Representative).
