The Library



The HER contains a specialist library of archaeological publications, including over 1000 internal publications of the Archaeological Service itself.

The library also includes "parish boxes" for every parish in the County.These hold all the modern, unpublished, reports on fieldwork in the parish as well as general articles and local histories. There is also an index to the parish maps held in the County Record Office.
