The Historic Environment Record (HER) is the most comprehensive database recording the heritage of the county.
the HER is an essential tool within the planning system and for anyone researching the history of the county - whether local school, local historian or academic. |

Finds and Site Indentification
The HER works in partnership with local groups and individuals to record new finds and sites. We provide a finds identification service and can provide advice for those wishing to undertake their own archaeological project. |
Educational and OutreachA series of on-line teaching resources,based on the HER, are being developed, in partnership with Worcestershire Education Authority.

Charges
Access to the HER is free for general public and educational enquiries. A charge of £50 + VAT per hour (from September 2006) is made for commercial searches, for other projects where grant aid is available or for other classes of work which involve significant staff input. |
