THE ARCHAEOLOGY OF AGGREGATE SITES IN WORCESTERSHIRE

Events and Displays - Archived Community Event

March 2006 - Blessed Edward Oldcorne College, Worcester

Worcestershire Archaeology Service is regularly asked to run activity days for schools in the county. One such school, Blessed Edward Catholic College in Worcester, has a ‘Sanctuary’ department where pupils who are experiencing some difficulty in the mainstream curriculum, attend specially designed courses. These courses take the pupils into the world of work. Sanctuary children have paid several visits to our offices, and to archaeological sites, for practical work involving artefact handling, and they gain some knowledge of the links between history and archaeology while working together as a team.
