THE ARCHAEOLOGY OF AGGREGATE SITES IN WORCESTERSHIRE

February 2007  The Lifford Memorial Hall, Broadway

The Aggregates Levy Archaeological Exhibition with special guests Worcestershire's Young Archaeology Club

The Village Hall provided a relaxed setting for our penultimate travelling event of the first year of UNLOCKING THE PAST.

Lifford Hall

Young Archaeologists talking the the public about the Broadway Archaeology Project

We were joined by Karl Lee (flint knapper), we were able to display some new banners which describe the work and new research being spearheaded by the National Ice Age Network, and we shared the exhibition with members of the county's Young Archaeology Club who are involved with a fascinating 'mesolithic' site just outside Broadway.

Several visitors again brought along finds to be examined and the event staff were inspired by how absorbed many people are by the displayed artwork, artefacts and narrative stories of our ancestoral riverside settlements.
