Hadley Bowling Green Inn
The original Inn dates from the turn of the 16th Century. The Bowling Green, after which the Inn is names, is one of the oldest in the British Isles. The earliest records date back to being in existence from 1575. The Hadley’s second claim to fame is that in the summer of 1604 a gentleman by the name of Guido (Guy) Fawkes spent some time at the Inn, where it is believed, that along with his fellow conspirators, he stared planning the infamous ”Gun powder plot”.
