Horticulture and Hard Landscaping at Bishops Wood

This course is made up of 3 units where you will learn a range of practical skills. Part of the course will be spent carrying out a range of tasks based on survival skills and woodland management to encourage self-reliance and solid team working skills. These team-working and communication skills will be invaluable to you whatever area of work you finally decide to specialise in. The remaining two modules will focus on basic horticultural skills and can include hard landscaping skills such as making raised beds from wood or brick, laying decking or constructing gazebos.

Land Based Skills at Bishops Wood

This course is made up of 3 units where you will learn a range of practical skills. Part of the course will be spent carrying out a range of tasks based on survival skills and woodland management to encourage self-reliance and solid team working skills. These team-working and communication skills will be invaluable to you whatever area of work you finally decide to specialise in.

The second module will focus on coppicing and wood working skills such as hurdle making. The third module will cover basic brick laying skills useful in any outdoor employment.

Building Outdoor Sustainable Skills

This course is made up of 3 units where you will learn a range of practical skills. Part of the course will be spent carrying out a range of tasks based on survival skills and woodland management to encourage self-reliance and solid team working skills. These team-working and communication skills will be invaluable to you whatever area of work you finally decide to specialise in.

The remaining modules will cover woodworking and brick laying skills necessary for the construction industry with a sustainable and alternative twist leading to you acquiring skills that are becoming more and more in demand.
