There are a range of professional occupations providing exciting opportunities, qualifications and a rewarding career.  Before you commit to training or employment we do recommend you consider our FREE introductory programmes, ‘Choices – working with children, young people and their families’ or the 'Childminder Briefing Sessions' if you are particularly interested in childminding. The 'Choices' programme can help you decide on the most appropriate course of action to help you achieve your potential.

‘Choices’ covers all aspects of working with children, young people and their families and includes:

• Information about the types of work and jobs available
• Meeting professionals from a range of settings who will tell you about their jobs
• Finding out about qualifications and what training is available
• Guidance on where to look for work
• Advice on the next steps for you.
