Worcestershire Youth Music has been in existence in some form within the Local Authority for over fifty years and has an established reputation for the high quality of its tuition and performance activities.

Opportunities for instrumental and vocal tuition are availabe in schools and music centres throughout the County and we are currently developing our successful whole class, inclusive Wider Opportunities pilots into “Play2learn”, a fully-fledged scheme designed to increase the numbers of young people learning instruments.

AUGUST 2008 - WORCESTERSHIRE YOUTH BRASS BAND RETURNS FROM AUSTRALIA

WYBB has completed its summer tour of Australia, returning to the UK on 14^th August.  The Band flew out to Sydney on 31st July, where they performed within the Sydney Opera House complex, before flying to western Australia where they performed at a number of venues whilst enjoying the hospitality of Greenwood Senior High School in Perth. SPRING 2009 - CARDUCCI QUARTET TO WORK WITH WORCESTERSHIRE YOUTH MUSIC

In the Spring of 2009 Worcestershire Youth Chamber Strings will be joining with Gloucester Academy of Music and the internationally renowned Carducci Quartet. The project will consist of two workshops and two violin masterclasses and will culminate in a concert in Worcester on March 9th, which will be open to all. Details to follow.
