Reviews and Consultations

The Local Authority is committed to raising educational standards and investing resources to improve opportunities for children and young people throughout the County.  Across the County there are a number of issues around school organisation that need to be addressed.

At the Council's Cabinet meeting on 25 April 2006 it was resolved that a revised School Review Programme be approved so that:

• no further area-wide School reviews be undertaken during the life of this council
• individual school reviews be undertaken as circumstances determine
