Review of Provision for Special Educational Needs in Worcestershire

Current Status

The proposals contained in the public notice "Special Schools in Worcester City and South Worcestershire" published on 3rd. March 2005 were unanimously approved by the Worcestershire School Organisation Committee on July 4th 2005.

As a result Rose Hill Community Special School, Thornton House Community Special School, and Manor Park Community Special School were closed on 31st. August 2007.    They will be replaced with a new single phase, 2-11 age range, generic community special school on the current Thornton House site and a new single phase, 11-19 age range, generic community special school on the current Rose Hill site.
