Pledge cards

Worcestershire Children’s Services felt it was of paramount importance to give all children a pledge card, which had 2 elements to it:

• A commitment from the county council outlining what it will do to combat bullying – this policy is part of that commitment
• A  Freephone number to call for free confidential support and advice

These credit-card sized pledge cards are available in 2 formats – one for children ( 5 to 11) , and one for Young People ( aged 11- 19 ). These were distributed to all schools and settings in November 2006. It is hoped they will give children and young people the information they need to feel confident enough to report any bullying they see or experience.

The cards can be made available in any format or language to ensure that all children and young people can access the content.
