  • The policy contains a whole section on what is meant by bullying, the different forms of bullying, and what to look out for. It also gives guidelines on who is likely to be bullied and what sorts of people are likely to become bullies.
  • There are strategies and measures for creating a Bully Free zone, as well as some detailed descriptions of tried and tested strategies, approaches and programmes , aimed at dealing with bullying.
  • Another section deals with Victim Support and looks at activities which can be used to help explore the issues raise by bullying.
  • There are appendices which contain recommended paperwork and proformas, as well as ideas for further reading, resources and materials.
  • There is also an extensive list of local and national organisations and agencies which deal with bullying, with full contact details.

The Policy is not being distributed in hard copy format. Instead, a CD containing the policy has been produced and distributed to all schools and settings within the LA, as well as Private and Independent schools in Worcestershire. You can also download it from this website, and from the Worcestershire Edulink.

Your school or setting should have received a copy during November 2006, which looks like this. For more copies please phone The Anti-Bullying Coordinator on 01905 728895, or email hcridford@worcestershire.gov.uk.
