Kathy Roberts, SEN Policy and Development Manager, talked about the policy itself, and went through the paperwork in the pack. Kathy focused in particular on the Bullying Incident Record and the “Life in School” proformas. Both of these documents are an integral part of the policy, as they provide a mechanism for easy and effective recording and reporting. Kathy also emphasised the importance of reporting incidents to the officer within the authority with responsibility for monitoring this important area of work.
Joe Green, Youth Participation worker, presented on what bullying means to the county’s children and young people. He provided some interesting feedback from consultation and gave some real examples of what bullying means to children and young people. Joe’s Powerpoint presentation
