Most of the schools in Kidderminster, Stourport and Bewdley will have changed in September 2007. There are no longer any middle schools and instead there are new primary schools for children from age 4 to 11 and new secondary schools from age 11 to 18.
Some things will be different and some things will be the same.
The school buildings for the new secondary schools will be the same buildings that the High Schools used but, because the new schools will have to be bigger to have enough classrooms for pupils from age 11, the new schools will also use some of the middle school buildings:
Some of the staff will also be different from the High Schools at the moment and, when they start to make decisions about the new schools, the governors and headteacher of the new school might decide to change the name of the school or the uniform.
You can find out more about the changes in your school by choosing your school from the drop down menu above.Or if you have a particular question, you can email us with your name and current school and we will put your question and the answer on this website (please let us know if you don’t want us to put your name on the website)
Question:
Will the new schools still have a sixth form?
Answer:
Yes, all the secondary schools will have a sixth form offering a wide range of subjects for you to study after your GCSEs.
