The purpose of the FAQ document  (106.50 KB) is to provide advice and guidance for staff in Wyre Forest Schools on the arrangements that  apply to appointments and redeployments.  The advice applies to both teaching and support staff.

Appointments to New Wyre Forest Schools

The process of appointing staff to posts in new Wyre Forest Schools is almost complete. Appointments to most posts at Stage 3 of the process was completed by the end of March 2007 and remaining vacancies will continue to be advertised within the Wyre Forest.   Vacancy lists are sent to all Wyre Forest schools and current vacancies can also be viewed through the Worcestershire Grid for Learning using this link.  Staff who have not yet been appointed to new posts will continue to be supported to find suitable alternative employment.

Appointment Process

An Appointment Code of Practice  (41.00 KB) has been agreed with the Trade Unions.  Headteachers of all schools have a reference copy and it is available electronically from the Worcestershire Grid for Learning.  Existing teachers and school staff working in Wyre Forest will have priority in applying for jobs and we hope that most people will be able to secure a suitable job of equivalent status and responsibility.  

A Scrutiny Panel made up of Governors from outside Wyre Forest, Trade Union representatives, and County Council officers will oversee the arrangements and check their fairness.
