Countryside Access and Recreation Strategy

This Strategy covers the period 2003 – 2013. It provides the strategic management framework for issues relating to countryside access and recreation within Worcestershire. It considers the key strategic issues of recreation and access in relation to:

  • Access for All
  • Access to Land
  • Community Involvement
  • Conflict Resolution
  • Environmental Management
  • Awareness, Expectations and Standards of Facilities
  • Health and Well-being
  • Rural Regeneration
  • Transportation

The Strategy was prepared by a partnership of 26 organisations and has been subject to extensive consultation. Each partner organisation has committed itself to the implementation of the aims and objectives contained within the Strategy. An action plan detailing how, when and by whom the objectives of the Strategy will be implemented, will be supplementary to the Strategy. The full list of Partners who have been involved in the preparation of this Strategy is listed on the back cover of the Strategy.
