The devastation that can be caused by flooding was clearly evident from the Worcestershire floods in Easter 1998, November 2000 and July 2007.
A Joint County and District Council’s Scrutiny Group have published their findings on the summer 2007 floods; the report examined the response to the floods by local/public agencies and the recovery since.

Worcestershire is regularly subjected to flooding and therefore, we must be prepared at all times, to respond to the risk of flooding.
Major flooding in Worcestershire is usually caused by flooding of major rivers and watercourses, or flash flooding, due to intense localised rainfall
