This is an outstanding opportunity to implement and establish a new Resourcing Team at Worcestershire County Council. Based in the Central Recruitment Team within Central Human Resources, the new team will be responsible for setting up the systems, processes and ultimately centrally managing all of the organisation's temporary agency usage. The new team will also be responsible for improving and managing the organisation's redeployment programme. The centralisation of temporary agency usage and day-to-day management of supplier contract(s) will ensure high levels of transparency and consistency, thus dramatically improving performance and delivering significant cost savings to the Council.
The role will have huge scope, covering the following areas:
- Setting up and managing a new centrally managed temporary agency contract
- Managing the day-to-day relationships between the organisation and the supplier agency(s)
- Project management of the design, development and implementation of new recruitment related systems i.e. e-Recruitment, redeployment programme, Talent Pools etc
- Day to management of the Councils Redeployment programme (Job Search Programme). This post will be highly focused on achieving change across the organisation. As a result the ability to communicate clearly and effectively will be paramount, along with a real determination and desire to achieve often challenging objectives. Having considerable experience of working in a high volume, fast moving Recruitment or HR environment you will be experienced in managing a team in a highly customer focused environment.

To start in September 2008. The successful applicants will work in one of the School's Communication Centres and provide support to pupils with Complex Communication Difficulties/Autistic Spectrum Condition (CCD/ASC). Their role will be to support pupils within mainstream classrooms to enable them to access the curriculum and to work within the Communication Centres helping the specialist teachers deliver programmes of work and to support social life and skills. We are looking for someone ideally with some experience, but flexibility, a desire to help students and the ability to work as part of a team are key requirements.
