Enhance your visit to Hartlebury by choosing to add on to your chosen roleplay one of our great, new, creative and interactive sessions for schools. All sessions are led by a member of Hartlebury’s Education Team and materials are provided. Each session lasts 1.5 hours and includes object handling, historical investigation and enquiry and the opportunity to be creative and make an item to take back to school for your Class Museum display. Only £25 per session (session accomodates up to 30 pupils)
(to add to Victorian Roleplay sessions)
Only the Bits that Show! - A tour of Victorian Personal Hygiene - how did they deal with those nasty niffs and keep themselves clean and presentable in the days before deodorant and shower gel!
Fun and Games - Victorian playtime and parlour games (to be booked with the Belowstairs roleplay session only). A selection of indoor and outdoor toys to try.
Corsets and Crinolines - A fun look at Victorian Costume - and try some on too!
(to add to Classroom at War or Make do and Mend Roleplay sessions)
Salvage Squaddies! - Become a Hartlebury Salvageer. Recycling is not a new idea! Find out how it was done and why during the Second World War and think about the importance of “Salvage” today!
(can be added to any period Roleplay session)
Childhood Treasures - A look at children’s toys today and those their parents and grandparents played with, plus the opportunity to visit our wonderful Toy Gallery. Includes “Make a simple toy” activity.
