Improvement Unit

The unit works with all the Directorates across the County Council helping to develop more efficient and effective ways of working through strategic policy implementation, process review and development.  Main areas of work include:

• Government's Modernisation Agenda - E.g.: Best Value, CPA, Performance Management and other Central Government Policies
• Support and advice to Directorates and partners on best value, performance management and monitoring and other corporate policies
• Leading on the development and implementation of the new performance management software system
• Managing and monitoring of the Best Value programme, CPA Improvement Plan and Corporate Plan
• Production of the Best Value Performance Plan (in Worcestershire this is the Annual Report) and Summary information
• Reviewing and monitoring the Council's performance against key performance areas
