Shindig – A sneak preview of 2007
Since the first Shindig
performance in 2004
there have been over 175 performances to more than 12,000 people in Worcestershire. With a rapidly growing
reputation for excellence a Shindig event is the best way to enjoy a great night out on your doorstep.
With a network of more than 80 promoters presenting a wide range of the very best performing arts; from
music to comedy and dance to theatre there’s sure to be something to delight and entertain the whole
family.
The Spring 2007 season is shaping
up to be just as exciting as it’s predecessors. We are delighted to welcome the outstanding musicians
Kathryn and Peter Tickell to Worcestershire; tickets are bound to be snapped up so look out for the
new brochure to book yours soon. Forest Forge Theatre Co. will be returning with their latest offering
‘The Gamekeeper’ and exciting new company Network of Stuff will provide an unmissable and hilarious
evening with their show, ‘The Unsinkable Clerk’. Superb storyteller Cat Weatherill will raise a smile
with her traditional Bawdy Stories, just right for spring time! That’s just for starters, Shindig’s
acclaimed International World Music and Dance programme, kindly supported by the Esmee Fairburn Foundation,
will bring you a unique opportunity to enjoy Undertoe with their traditional New England music followed
by a rip roaring barn dance. We’ve not even mentioned Opera on the Run or Northern Harmony or The Small
