EDUCATION

Whatever your age there are opportunities in Worcestershire for you to learn more about the environment around you & how you can work to protect it.

Courses for all ages & at all levels are available at the University of Worcester and colleges across the County.

There are lots of opportunities to learn online, from formal education through distance learning to informal fact finding.

A wide range of outdoor learning activities are also available. Green wood working, forest survival skills and environmental arts & crafts are just some of the themes on offer.

Groups promoting sustainable living in colleges & universities include:

People and Planet - is a network of groups in Universities, colleges and sixth forms that campaign on a range of issues including alleviation of world poverty, defending human rights and protecting the environment.

The Environmental Association for Universities and Colleges (EUAC).  - aims to raise the profile of environmental management and improve the environmental performance of institutions in the Higher and Further education sector.

Work with Schools

Across the county, a number of successful schemes are integrated into the school curriculum to help form the attitudes and choices of future generations- to find out more see the Education for Sustainability pages.

If you would like to discuss adding your business or organisation to the Green Directory please email us.
