Ecoschools

Well over half of the 280 schools in Worcestershire are actively involved in the Eco-schools programme. 20 of these have been awarded the prestigious Green Flag Award.

  • Ecoschools is an award scheme to encourage everyone in the school community to get involved in improving the school, local & global environment. It involves pupils, teachers, non-teaching staff, governors and members of the local community. To find out how the Ecoschools scheme works and how to go about taking part, click here.
  • Termly Ecoschools meetings are held in each Worcestershire district. This gives teachers the chance to share ideas, inspire each other and look at the themes in more detail. For dates of the next District Ecoschools Meetings and notes from previous meetings, click here.
  • Ecoschools Conferences are held to give pupils and teachers the chance to get together, celebrate Ecoschools and share ideas to build upon the good work that is already happening in Worcestershire. For information about the 2007 Ecoschools Conferences, click here.
