Head of Legal & Support Services: Ian Marshall

The aim of the Legal Services section is:

• To provide legal advice and representation to all service units of the Council; and
• To make a positive contribution to the Council's corporate affairs, especially implementing changes brought about by new legislation.

The Head of Legal & Support Services is the Monitoring Officer to the Council and Town & Parish Councils throughout the District. He is also responsible Officer for Data Protection, Freedom of Information, the Regulation of Investigatory Powers Act and Human Rights.

The legal team cannot provide legal services to the public.
